Our Keurig Compatible KQ8 KQ8A PW5486 model type water filter replacement cartridge is designed for use with our filter kits for Keurig B150, B150P, K150, K150P, B155, K155, K3000, K3000SE, B3000, B3000SE, K3500, K4000, and Bolt commercial model brewers. PROVIDES CRISP, CLEAN WATER: Removes Chlorine and improves taste and odor. Includes scale inhibitor to prevent scale from building up inside the brewer’s internal water tank by preventing mineral deposits that hinder the machine from functioning properly, thus, extending the life of your coffee machine. Replaces the older type Q5486, KQ8, and KQ8A filters.
EASY TO INSTALL: Filter simply screws into your existing head unit. Replacement of the spent media bed is completed in a matter of seconds by detaching the filter body from a permanent head with a twist of the wrist. The new filter body is just as easily threaded into the head and the replacement is then complete.
FLUSHING NEW FILTER: After installing your new filter, ensure the water supply is turned off. Disconnect the tubing from the filter kit’s OUT port that connects to the back of your machine, and place the loose end over a sink or bucket.
Turn the water supply back on and allow water to flow through the new filter, flushing approximately 4 gallons of water (about 5–10 minutes). This process helps remove any harmless carbon fines and prepares the filter for use.
Once flushing is complete, turn the water supply off again. Reconnect the tubing to the back of your machine, then restore the water supply and check all connections for leaks before operating the equipment.
Note: If you notice a leak between the filter housing and the new filter cartridge, the housing may need to be replaced. A common indicator is if the leak occurs with the new filter but not with the previous filter. If you experience this issue, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
